Red Bull team celebrating after a days activities and conference.

We were thrilled to welcome Red Bull for a half day Banzai Action Special after they chose our Oxford conference venue for a fun team building day.

We were excited to see the 10 guys and girls from the famous motorsport team enjoying our pilots and air rifles and our instructors Chris and Jon were impressed with their great team spirit.

Neil said “Thanks very much for looking after us. A fabulous afternoon which everyone thoroughly enjoyed!”

We’ve been busy this month hosting a range of conferences and events and one of our favourites was a group of people from a national distribution company based in Esher, Surrey.

The PA to the company Director contacted Banzai looking for an Oxford Conference venue to host a team building event. After a discussion with Kelly, our events manager she booked a full day Grand Prix.

On a very windy Thursday , the 15 employees enjoyed the quads, pilots, reverse steer jeeps and test pilots, all instructed by James and Peter.

At lunchtime they warmed up with a hearty lasagne and crusty bread followed by our scrummy cheesecake before heading back out.

We look forward to when they return for another corporate activity day with us.

“Fun morning & BBQ lunch.”

“I just wanted to say again how much we enjoyed yesterday.”

“Thanks so much for looking after us so well – great BBQ by the way too!”

“Everyone had a fab time – I am saving up for a quad bike now!

These quotes are from feedback we received after hosting 24 staff from a large, London-based corporation involved in commercial radio.

Aside from using our Milton Keynes conference venue they enjoyed a BBQ and our ‘Blaster Event’ package where they drove quads, pilots and used the air rifles. They were so lucky with the weather too -beautiful sun shine!

We are so pleased they all had a great time & we can’t wait to welcome them all back next time.

“The day was a great success. Nice atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming staff, really good value for money.”

This was written as feedback after a recent booking by a large investment management company. We think this is a great accolade and we are really pleased they recognised the value for money that our Oxford conference venue provides, especially as it is their business torecognising great investment opportunities!

Banzai, a leading Oxford conference venue, reminds us that despite the economic down turn companies should work to unite their staff to creating a strong, dedicated team & that it doesn’t always have to cost a lot of money.

We all know that companies are having to be more frugal than ever and more often than not the first budget to be slashed within both large and small organisations is the supposedly disposable ‘Staff Development fund’.

Although this is understandable to some extent, as soon as negativity, uncertainty and increased pressure surround staff it is so important to counteract this by uniting staff in engaging in the overall business’ aims and what better way to show staff them that you are interested and invested in their future than organising a team building event?

Here are Banzai’s top 5 of Team Building suggestions:

1. A cake baking contest – Join the cupcake revolution and see if you have any buddy Delia’s in your office.

2. A physical & mental challenge – check out the activities that Banzai has to offer at their Oxford conference venue, particularly those that require building trust & working together.

3. A comedy night out – Group discounts are often available for the big name acts or most bars and pubs have an open mike or smaller scale comedy night.

4. Raising money for charity event. There are so many to choose from: sponsored walks, runs, coffee mornings, skydiving etc. Ask what charity that your staff feel passionate about and if an event doesn’t already exist then organise your own.

5. Improving the office environment by grabbing a paint brush or having a photo competition with the winner having their work framed and hung in the office.

“A great success. Nice atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming staff, really good value for money”

We were really pleased with this fantastic review from a large investment management company who used our Oxford conference venue and activities recently.

The recent unsettled  weather we have had just recently hasn’t spoilt the fun for any of our groups. A works social club from a Chalgrove manufacturer of Bottles and Jars used our Oxford Conference venue for a Full Grand Prix Day.

The group of 14 had a 2 course BBQ Lunch and plenty of fun activities including Quads, Pilots, Target Shooting and Reverse Steer Jeep Driving. The day was organised by Kelly and instructed by Peter, Tom, & Chris. We were delighted to hear that everyone had a fantastic day.

Here at Banzai Events we are celebrating the beginning of a bumper year of events in 2011, with the sun already shining on us here in Bicester making for some cracking activity days.

As spring is in the air and the sun is getting higher in the sky there could not be a better time to book an outdoor activity, corporate event or party celebration so we are inviting you to take a look at our event photos and videos and see what we have to offer in full on our website.

Come rain or shine, Kelly, our bookings manager, will be updating our new Facebook and Twitter pages with Banzai news, views and information along with special offers and promotions. If you’ve been to visit us before, you can also connect on LinkedIn so we can keep in touch to make your next corporate event a great one!

Let us know what you think and get in touch with your ideas for a team building event or a stag and hen weekend.

We look forward to hearing from you!
